Pressure and torque

Inlet pressure and back pressure establish the pressure differential across the motor. Measured output torque can then be compared with the theoretical torque for the displacement and the agreed test point.

Flow, speed and volumetric behavior

Input flow, output flow, rotational speed and leakage flow help identify volumetric losses. Leakage must be interpreted at a stated oil temperature, pressure and speed; a number without its test condition is not meaningful.

Temperature and test stability

Oil temperature changes viscosity and leakage. The test system therefore monitors relevant temperature points so results can be compared under a stable condition instead of mixing cold-start and warmed-up readings.

What a customer should request

  • Tested model and serial or batch identification
  • Pressure, flow, speed and oil-temperature test condition
  • Measured torque and leakage result where applicable
  • Acceptance basis agreed for the specific project
